Who We Are
Excessive Wealth, a 501c3 organization, is laser focused on reducing the wealth and power of the ultra-wealthy in order to build an economy and democracy that empowers working people. Its two core programs are the Excessive Wealth Institute (EWI), which funds research about the top 0.2% and the societal impacts of excessive wealth, and Tax the Greedy Billionaires (TGB), which advocates for bold solutions to break up concentrations of wealth and power.

Tax the Greedy Billionaires connects America’s excessive wealth crisis to the costs families feel every day: billionaires distorting housing and health care markets, driving up prices, and polluting our planet. We bring together lawmakers, advocates, and experts to champion bold solutions for taxing the ultra-wealthy.
